Ils continuent tous les deux dans leur coin la finale...

Et c'est bien symptomatique du styles de jeu des deux équipe : Lebron le soliste, et Parker le joueur d'équipe (c'est peut-être plus les spurs qu'ils récompensent que le seul Parker, même s'il n'y a peut-être pas eu grand monde cette semaine...).

C'est la deuxième fois pira non ? pour Parker...

il me semble en effet que parker a deja obtenu ce titre en 2006 si j'ai bonne mémoire....

LeBron James, des Cavaliers de Cleveland et Tony Parker, des Spurs de San Antonio, ont été nommés respectivement, joueurs de la semaine de la Conférence Est et Ouest, pour les rencontres disputées du lundi 19 novembre au dimanche 25 novembre.



James a permis aux Cavaliers de réaliser un bilan de 3 victoires et 1 défaite cette semaine en affichant en moyenne 36.5 points, 9.5 rebonds et 8.5 passes.

Il est devenu le premier joueur depuis Bob Sura (9 et 10 avril 2004) à afficher deux triples doubles consécutifs.
En effet il a enregistré 37 points, 12 rebonds et 12 passes lors d’une victoire sur Toronto le 24 novembre et 30 points, 11 rebonds et 10 passes lors d’une victoire à Indiana le 25 novembre.

Dans chacun des quatre matchs de l’équipe cette semaine, James a réussi 30 points ou plus, égalant aussi son meilleur total de points cette saison avec 45 points le 21 novembre à Minnesota.

Parker a permis à San Antonio de réaliser un bonne semaine avec un bilan de 4 victoires et 0 défaite affichant en moyenne 26.5 points, 3.0 rebonds et 8.3 passes.

Il a aussi réalisé son meilleur total de points de la saison avec 32 points le 21 novembre lors d’une victoire sur Orlando et a deux fois égalé son record de passes en saison après en avoir distribué 9, le 20 novembre à Atlanta et contre Orlando le 21 novembre.

Howard led the Magic to a 3-1 week, averaging 23.8 points and 15.3 rebounds in 38.8 minutes. On Nov. 28 at Seattle, Howard tallied a career-high 39 points, to go along with 16 rebounds and five blocks. Jackson led the Warriors to a 4-0 week averaging 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.8 steals in 41.5 minutes. RIVERS ET POPOVICH COACH OF THE MONTH:

The Boston Celtics’ Doc Rivers and the San Antonio Spurs’ Gregg Popovich today were named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Coaches of the Month, respectively, for games played in October and November.
Rivers guided the Celtics to a 13-2 (.867) record last month, including eight straight wins to open the season. Boston outscored opponents by a 13.7 ppg margin while holding teams to a .410 field goal percentage. The Celtics recorded a perfect 8-0 mark at TD Banknorth Garden, besting the opposition at home by 21.6 points over that stretch. Owners of the NBA’s top record at month’s end, the Celtics enjoyed the franchise’s best November since 1985-86 when Boston opened 13-1.

Popovich led the Spurs to a 14-3 (.824) record in October and November, tying the franchise record for best start after 17 games, last accomplished in 2005-06. San Antonio, which won five straight from Nov. 16 through Nov. 25, was a perfect 9-0 at AT&T Center. The Spurs committed a league-low 12.0 turnovers per game, including setting a franchise record low with three turnovers in a 128-110 win over Orlando on Nov. 21.

HORFORD ET DURANT ROOKIES OF THE MONTH:

Horford, averaged 8.7 points and 10.2 rebounds for the month. He leads all rookies in rebounds, while ranking second in steals and minutes. Horford also had eight double-digit rebound games, four double-digit scoring games and one double-double. In addition, he leads the Hawks in rebounds, while ranking second in blocks and field goal percentage, and is fifth in scoring.

Among rookie qualifiers, Durant ranks first in the league in scoring with 20.4 points per game, fifth in rebounding with 4.4, and first in assists with 2.1. He is also ranked second in the league in free throw percentage with .816 and third in steals. In addition, Durant also posted a pair of career highs in points with 35 and blocks with three on Nov. 30. vs. Indiana.

DWIGHT HOWARD ET CARLOS BOOZER PLAYERS OF THE MONTH:

Howard averaged 23.8 points on .618 shooting and a league-high 15.0 rebounds while leading the Magic to a 14-4 record. The 14 victories tied for the league high for wins in November with San Antonio. Howard recorded an NBA-best 15 double-doubles and scored 30 or more points six times, including a career-high 39 in a 110-94 win on Nov. 28 in Seattle.

Boozer ranked third in scoring (25.4 ppg) and tied for eighth in rebounds (11.2 rpg) while helping the Jazz to an 11-5 start. Boozer’s .577 field goal percentage was the sixth-best mark in the league. Boozer scored at least 30 points six times and posted 12 double-doubles, including six straight to open the season.

Pour les coachs, pas trop de surprise, ce sont ceux des 2 meilleures équipes de chaque conférence et c'est bien mérité, tout comme les rookies, vu les faibles performances de la plupart, horford profite de son temps de jeu à atlanta dans une équipe faible, tout comme durant chez les pauvres sonics.

Par contre, pour le joueur du mois, je pensais que KG l'aurait même si dwight le mérite tout autant puis lebron mais son équipe est trop faible puis à l'ouest carlos boozer, même pas une seconde j'ai pensé à lui mais c'est vrai qu'il fait un très bon début de saison, ma préférence allait à chris paul qui n'est même pas nommé icon_sad.gif

D'où l'importance du bilan de l'équipe. Dans ce cas précis ça parle pour lui. 1-6 sans, 9-1 avec. Le Baron après les six défaites pour commencer l'année avait dit sur son blog que ça irait beaucoup mieux avec Jackson. Il avait raison le bougre.

Smith And Roy Named Players Of The Week (du 3 décembre au 9 décembre)

The Atlanta Hawks ’ Josh Smith and the Portland Trail Blazers ’ Brandon Roy were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week on Monday, respectively, for games played Monday, Dec. 3 through Sunday, Dec. 9.

Smith led the Hawks to a 3-1 week, averaging 22.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.3 blocks. On Dec. 6 against Minnesota, Smith tied an NBA season high with seven blocks to go along with 28 points and seven rebounds. Smith is the only player to rank in the top 10 in both blocks (3.6 bpg, 1st) and steals (1.9 spg, 10th), and has blocked two or more shots in 16-of-18 games this season.

Roy led the Trail Blazers to a 3-0 week, averaging 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists. The reigning T-Mobile Rookie of the Year posted career-high stats in the Trail Blazers’ win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Dec. 9, with nine assists and eight defensive rebounds. Roy shot 59.2 percent from the field and tied his career high with 11 baskets against Memphis and Milwaukee on Dec. 3 and Dec. 9, respectively.

Pierce averaged 25.3 points and 5.0 rebounds. The ninth-year pro connected on 24-of-27 (.888) free throws including a nine-of-nine effort during Boston’s 104-82 win over the Bucks on Dec. 14.

Roy, who wins his second consecutive Player of the Week Award, led the Trail Blazers to a 4-0 week, averaging 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.0 steals. Portland is in the midst of a Western Conference-best seven-game winning streak. Pierce led the Celtics to a 4-0 week averaging 27.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals including a season-high 37 points at Seattle on Dec. 27. He helped lead the Celtics to their first undefeated four-game West coast road trip since the 1992-93 season bringing the Celtics to eight straight wins on the road, the longest such streak since the 1980-81 season.
Paul led New Orleans to a 3-0 week by averaging 25.7 points, 9.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 4.3 steals. The third year guard had his second 40-point game performance of the month at Memphis on Dec. 26 and connected on a career-high 17 field goals and on Dec. 29 against Cleveland, Paul tied his career-high with seven steals. Currently at 21.4 points, 10.0 assists and 3.0 steals on the season, Paul is looking to become the second player in 16 years to average 20-plus points and 10-plus assists (Steve Nash, 2006-07) and the first player in NBA history to average 20-plus points, 10-plus assists and 3-plus steals.

Lebron James et Allen Iverson ont respectivement été élu joueur de la semaine à l'est et à l'ouest.

James a permis aux Cavs de se relancer avec 3 victoires pour 0 défaites. Pendant cette période, il a tourné à 33 pts, 8 rbds, 8.3 pds et 2.3 int. Parmis ses perfs on peut noter un quatrième quart temps énorme contre les Raptors pour rattraper un lourd déficit où il a scoré pas moins de 24 pts.

Iverson a lui aussi permis aux Nuggets de remporter leurs 3 matchs, il a scoré en moyenne 33.3 pts à plus de 53%, la confirmation que cette année il a franchi un cap dans ce secteur ce qui le rend encore plus redoutable. Chris Bosh Kobe Bryant today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week for games played Monday, Jan. 7 through Sunday, Jan. 13.
Bosh led Toronto to a 3-0 week, averaging 33.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks per contest. Bosh shot .552 from the field and .806 from the foul line for the week. After divisional wins over the 76ers and Knicks, Bosh capped Toronto’s undefeated week with a 38-point, 14-rebound performance against the streaking Portland Trail Blazers. At 20-17, the Raptors own the second best record in the Atlantic Division and the fourth best record in the Eastern Conference.

Bryant helped the Lakers to a 4-0 week, which included wins over the Hornets, Bucks and the Grizzlies twice. Bryant averaged 29.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.5 steals on the week. Closing the week with back-to-back 37-point performances, Bryant upped his season average to 27.0 ppg, second best in the NBA to LeBron James’ 29.1 ppg. The Lakers are riding a six-game winning streak and at 25-11, they own the second best record in the Pacific Division and the third best record in the Western Conference.

Jan. 9 vs. Philadelphia: Scored 21 points and added three blocks and three assists in a 109-96 win over the 76ers.
Jan. 11 at New York: Poured in 40 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Raptors beat the Knicks 99-90.
Jan. 13 vs. Portland: Posted a 38-point, 14-rebound effort in a 116-109 double-overtime victory against the Trail Blazers.

Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers
Jan. 8 @ Memphis: Scored 25 points and added three rebounds, six assists and five steals in a 117-101 victory over the Grizzlies.
Jan. 9 @ New Orleans: Posted 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals in the Lakers’ 109-80 win over the Hornets.
Jan. 11 vs. Milwaukee: Tallied 37 points, five rebounds and seven assists as the Lakers topped the Bucks 110-105.

The NBA announced today that New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul was selected as the Western Conference Player of the Month for games played in December. The honor is the first of Paul’s career. He becomes the fifth Hornet to win the award and first to receive the honor since Jamaal Magloire (April, 2004).


Rookies of Month: Durant, Jianlian
The Milwaukee Bucks’ Yi Jianlian and the Seattle SuperSonics’ Kevin Durant today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played for the month of December.
Yi averaged 12.1 points and 6.6 rebounds for the month and ranks second in scoring and rebounding among rookies. He also leads rookies in field goal percentage with .503 and is third in minutes per game with 30.6. In addition, he scored a career-high 29 points in a 103-99 win over Charlotte on Dec. 22.
Among rookie qualifiers for the second straight month Durant ranks first in the league in scoring with 19.7 points per game, seventh in rebounding with 4.2, and is tied for first in assists with 2.1. He is also ranked second in the league in field goal percentage with .407, first in free throw percentage and is averaging 1.3 blocks per game. In addition, Durant matched his career high in points with 35 and rebounds with eight and set a new career high in blocks with five on Dec. 7 vs. Milwaukee.

Players of Month: D.Howard, C.Paul
The Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard and the New Orleans’ Hornets Chris Paul today were named Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for games played Dec. 1 through Dec. 31.
Howard averaged 21.7 points on .598 shooting, a league-high 16.1 rebounds and 2.87 blocks in winning his second consecutive monthly award. Howard recorded 14 double-doubles in December, as the Magic went 8-7. The center had five games of 20-plus rebounds, including a season-high 23 on Dec. 3 at Golden State in a 123-117 overtime win.
Paul averaged 24.5 points, 10.4 assists and a league-high 3.00 steals in guiding the Hornets to a Southwest Division-best 9-5 mark. Paul’s month included two 40-plus-point performances and three games with at least 15 assists. With season averages of 21.5 points, 10.2 assists and 3.00 steals, Paul is attempting to become the first player to average at least 20.0 points, 10.0 assists and 3.0 steals for a season.

The Detroit Pistons’ Flip Saunders and the Portland Trail Blazers’ Nate McMillan today were named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Coaches of the Month, respectively, for games played in December.
Saunders guided the Pistons to a 15-2 (.882) record last month as Detroit established a franchise mark for wins in December. Holding eight of their last 10 December opponents to 90 points or less, the Pistons are in the midst of a nine-game winning streak. At 24-7, Detroit enjoys a 9.5-game lead in the Central Division. The Pistons handed the Celtics their first home loss of the season on Dec. 19 when Detroit posted an 87-85 victory in Boston.
McMillan led the Trail Blazers to a 13-2 (.867) record in December, which included 13 straight wins from Dec. 3 through Dec. 30. The 13-game winning streak is the second-longest in Trail Blazers history and tops in the NBA this season. At 18-13, Portland is second in the Northwest Division, trailing Denver by one-half game. The Trail Blazers defeated the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center on Dec. 16, their first win in Denver since Feb. 26, 2003.

Gerald Wallace, Baron Davis Named Players of the Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2008 – The Charlotte Bobcats’ Gerald Wallace and the Golden State Warriors’ Baron Davis today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Jan. 14 through Sunday, Jan. 20.

Wallace led Charlotte to a 3-1 week, averaging 29.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 3.0 steals. The Bobcats opened the week with a 119-116 win over Denver, paced by Wallace’s fourth career 40-point game. The next time out, Wallace set a career high with eight offensive rebounds (and 14 overall), to go along with 36 points in a win over the Magic. The 76 points scored by Wallace over a two-game span is a franchise record. Charlotte closed the week with a win over the Grizzlies, a game in which Wallace tied an NBA season high with seven steals.

Davis helped the Warriors to a 3-1 week, which included road wins over the Timberwolves, Bulls and Bucks. Leading the Warriors in scoring in three of their four contests, Davis averaged 26.3 points to go along with 7.0 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 steals. Davis, like Wallace, recorded both a 40-point game (Jan. 18 at Chicago) and a seven-steal game (Jan. 16 at Indiana).

Yao Ming, LeBron James Named Players of the Month

NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2008 – The Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James and the Houston Rockets’ Yao Ming today were named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month presented by Kia, respectively, for games played Jan. 1 through Jan. 31.

James led the league in scoring for the month averaging 32.8 points and adding 7.8 rebounds and 7.2 assists. James became the first player in NBA history to post at least 31 points, 19 rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and three steals in a game against Charlotte on Jan. 11. On Jan. 15 at Memphis, James scored a season-high 51 points and added eight rebounds and nine assists to make him the first player since Rick Barry in 1978 to post 50 or more points, eight or more rebounds and nine or more assists in a game. Cleveland went 11-3 (.786) in January, their highest winning percentage in a month since February, 1996.

Yao led the Rockets to a 10-4 month averaging 22.4 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists. In a 111-107 win over Golden State on Jan. 29, Yao tied his season-highs in points (36), rebounds (19) and free throws made (14). He matched his career best with five consecutive double-doubles (Jan. 19 – Jan. 29) and is the only player in the Western Conference to be averaging at least 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks this season.

Jan. 6 @ Toronto: Tallied 39 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in a 93-90 win over the Raptors.

Moon, Durant Named Rookies of the Month

NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2008 – The Toronto Raptors’ Jamario Moon and the Seattle SuperSonics’ Kevin Durant today were named the Eastern and Western Conference T-Mobile Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played for the month of January.

Moon set career highs of five steals on Jan. 18 vs. Atlanta, and 17 points on Jan. 19 at Cleveland. He also ranked seventh in the NBA in steals per turnover (1.16), increased his averages for the month by 1.0 points and 0.8 assists, and led the Raptors in blocks five times, and rebounds twice. In addition, Moon has been selected to compete in the 2008 NBA All-Star Sprite Slam Dunk contest as well as the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam.

Among rookie qualifiers, for the third straight month, Durant ranked first in the league in scoring with 19.4 points per game, and seventh in rebounding with 4.0. In addition, he is ranked first on the team in assists (2.4 avg.) and free throw percentage (88.6%), as well as third in felid goals (40.0%). Durant was also selected to compete in the 2008 NBA All-Star T-Mobile Rookie Challenge and Youth Jam.

Mike Brown, Byron Scott Named Coaches of the Month

NEW YORK, Feb. 1, 2008 – The Cleveland Cavaliers’ Mike Brown and the New Orleans Hornets’ Byron Scott today were named the NBA Eastern and Western Conference Coaches of the Month, respectively, for games played in January.

Brown guided the Cavaliers to an Eastern Conference best 11-3 (.786) record last month, Cleveland’s highest winning percentage for a month since February, 1996. Cleveland tied a franchise record with six road wins (6-2) in January, including five straight from Jan. 15-30. The Cavaliers’ 84-83 win in Portland on Jan. 30 marked the NBA-high 13th time this season that Cleveland won a game it trailed heading into the fourth quarter.

Scott led the Hornets to a league-best 12-2 (.857) record in January. The Hornets bested the Warriors, Suns and Spurs on the road en route to a perfect 5-0 mark away from home for the month. At 32-13 (.711) overall, the Hornets own the best record in the Western Conference. Scott and his staff will lead the Western Conference All-Star team in the 57th NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 17 at New Orleans Arena.
